Origin of the diet

The diet products of the Nutri100 diet are distributed by the Swiss company Provea SA. On the website, Nutri100 nutritionist Virninie Balès will be introduced as a consultant. Anyone who has developed the diet and who is the manufacturer of diet products, on the website and from the sent information material is not apparent. Another business area of the company Provea SA is high quality women's and men's underwear.

The diet in detail

In addition to the diet products, the following foods must be purchased: fruits and vegetables as healthy side dishes with meals as well as milk and plenty of quark (20% fat). Latter one main ingredient of the Nutri100 diet. The Nutri100 diet is based on the 3-meal principle. No snacks, even sugar-free sweets, may be eaten. Between meals, only sugar-free drinks (water, unsweetened tea and coffee) should be drunk.

The Nutri100 diet meals are delivered every 4 weeks. So a subscription, which, however, according to the manufacturer, can end with a call or a mail, as soon as the desired weight has been achieved. In addition, you get a free week for testing in advance. Per diet day, the finished diet products cost 11 euros. With a 4 weeks delivery you get 308 Euro, plus 9, 90 Euro shipping costs, additional food and drinks.

Nutri100 diets range from turkey fricassee to tuna fish in vegetable sauce with pasta and minced mashed potato casserole. The dishes are varied and some of them can also be found in other diet concepts. There is a lot of rice, vegetables and lean chicken.

Unfortunately, one has to make in terms of appearance and taste smears: The food is delivered in microwaveable containers and had little in common with the appetizing imprint on the packaging.

The vegetables, which are contained in every meal, is unfortunately usually overcooked and tasteless. The fat content of the ready meals is relatively high, especially with the meat dishes or the dishes with cream sauces.

The composition of the breakfast cereal largely corresponds to that of conventional cornflakes and crunchy cereals from the supermarket.

In addition, the dishes contain many flavors, flavor enhancers, thickeners, stabilizers, colors and preservatives. For example: extra sugars in the form of maltodextrin, barley malt extract, wheat maltodextrin, cornstarch and many other forms of sugar and starch. These sugars and starches are also found in many commercially prepared ready meals and unnoticed to provide many calories.

Not a single dish, it seems when looking at the list of ingredients, comes exclusively with natural ingredients. In addition to the ready meals, the manufacturer recommends foods such as fruits, vegetables and dairy products, in addition to food.

Breakfast may be supplemented with the following foods:

  • a piece of fruit: pineapple, peach, apple, pear, watermelon, berries, oranges, etc.
  • three tablespoons of ground or whole nuts
  • a portion of quark (20% fat) or yoghurt (with no indication of fat content), although it is not clear from the documents how many grams a portion of quark or yoghurt should be.

Lunch may be supplemented with the following foods:

  • a piece of fruit: pineapple, peach, apple, pear, watermelon, berries, oranges, etc.
  • any amount of vegetables
  • a portion of quark (20% fat) or yoghurt (with no indication of fat content), although it is not clear from the documents how many grams a portion of quark or yoghurt should be.

The dinner may be supplemented with the following foods:

  • Depending on the meal composition of the diary: 1 portion of quark or 1 piece of fruit
  • any amount of vegetables

Just by the rich quark - we have calculated as a portion of a 250 grams of quark mugs - you are more than tired after breakfast and lunch:

The breakfast of Nutri100 alone (a 30 gram packet of cereal) would probably not last very long without the food purchased for it such as fruit, milk and quark.

Lunch is also supplemented with a portion of the rich 20% quark. In addition, there is also a dessert such as pudding, applesauce or creme brulee.

The dinner usually consists of a soup (bag soup) and a lighter dish such as vegetable couscous or vegetable puree. In addition, a piece of fresh fruit and vegetables may be eaten. On some diet days, a portion of quark should also be eaten here.

All in all, with the Nutri100 diet plan, you get over 3 kilos of quark with 20% fat that you should eat each week (in addition to the ready meals). That's 750 grams a day. The quark alone delivers about 20-30 grams of fat a day.

Duration of the diet

The program Nutri100 can be continued as long as subscribed. However, the first delivery is a 4-week (+1 free trial week) program. The minimum duration of the diet is therefore 5 weeks. Then it will be delivered, unless you stop the delivery of weekly packages, according to the manufacturer, by phone or by e-mail.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Easy to prepare
  • Varied dishes
  • Good saturation (due to a lot of protein and unfortunately also fat)
  • Taste and vitamin content of the food, in contrast to freshly prepared meals, not optimal
  • Many artificial additives
  • Fat and sugar content are quite high, portion sizes of ready meals for it quite small
  • Diet plan is no alternatives for eating out
  • Pretty high price (11 euros per day, plus the extra food purchased)
  • Sport and exercise are a bit too short
  • Consumption of finished products does not promote long-term dietary change

weight loss

According to a self-conducted survey, the manufacturer claims that 94% of the "conscientious users of Nutri100" have lost weight. How high the weight loss is, however, is not mentioned. Because daily caloric intake is around 1, 400-1600 calories (based on Nutri's own estimates of Nutri100 meals and ingredients), you can expect a moderate weight loss of no more than 0.5 to 1 kilo per week, depending on how active you are.

Count calories / points

Calories do not have to be counted on the Nutri100 diet. Quite the contrary: on all packaging and plans of Nutri100 the nutrient information is missing. For example, the weight loss, carbohydrates, protein and ultimately calories are not visible to the weight loss taker throughout the day.

This is difficult because the dishes are very "rich" and high in calories: goulash with potatoes, gnocci in Zuccini cheese sauce or crème brûlée are not typical diet meals. Education about the nutrients and calories contained would be appropriate for the eater at this point, because only so a new healthy eating behavior can be learned.

Sports & Exercise

The Nutri100 diet program recommends exercise but does not provide specific training plans. For example, it is recommended to take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk 30 minutes a day, or park the car a little further from the workplace. A more detailed guide to exercise and exercise would be helpful in helping those who are willing to lose weight to learn new physical activity that is important in losing weight and keeping it weight.

Nutritional assessment

Because specific information on the nutrient levels such as the sugar, salt, protein, fiber and fat content on the Nutri100 dietary products missing, you can judge the nutrient supply only in terms of the list of ingredients.

The meals always consist of a part of vegetables, carbohydrates and protein. Unfortunately, the dishes often contain a lot of fat: extra "chicken fat" in beef goulash or cream and palm oil in gnocchi with zucchini cheese sauce. This fat composition is rather unfavorable in the context of a healthy, calorie-restricted diet.

The vitamin and mineral content of the ready meals can be argued: The products can be stored for weeks at room temperature. This suggests numerous preservatives, dyes and stabilizers (many E-substances), which are also listed in the ingredient lists. The vegetables contained overcooked, has little taste of their own and thus suggests a lower vitamin and mineral content.

The program offers as part of the nutrition plan, to complement the ready meals with fresh ingredients (vegetables and fruits). This should also be done to ensure that enough digestive fiber, vitamins and minerals are absorbed during the diet.

experts Conclusion

The diet of Nutri100 is quite varied and makes you hungry for the first time. The composition of the meals - purely from the packaging - makes a nutritionally sensible impression: carbohydrates, protein, fish, vegetables - everything is there.

After being prepared in the microwave, however, the person who wants to lose weight has a different picture: Of course, a finished meal can not compete with a freshly cooked meal, if only because of the transport. But taste, quantity and ingredients should justify the relatively high price of these ready meals.

The diet costs 11 Euro per day, which is 77 Euro per person per week. For this, vegetables are saved in the dishes and almost exclusively ingredients are used, which can also be found in conventional ready meals, available in every supermarket and discounter. Only the portion sizes are smaller, a main meal always weighs 285 grams, a breakfast only 30 grams (plus milk). Sattmers are usually the additionally purchased quark and the fruit, which is recommended to supplement the Nutri100 finished products.

The preparation of some dishes, such as the crème brûlée desserts, is quite elaborate (cooking, decanting in bowls, cold spots). If you do not have a microwave, you must always have a pot and boiling water ready for the final meal.

Supplements and supplements such as: vegetables, cottage cheese, milk and fruit must be purchased in addition. Alone 2-3 packs (250 g) cottage cheese and 2-3 pieces of fruit must be prepared daily. So the cost of the diet add up to at least 13-15 euros per day. For this you can also prepare simple and healthy dishes, according to a diet plan or a diet cookbook.

Although Nutri100 says, "Take Nutri100 day after day, you will soon realize how important a balanced diet is. At the same time you automatically adopt good eating habits. "So you have to say: The learning of a new healthy diet is in the Nutri100 diet system too short. A diet food that contains creamy pasta dishes and hearty meat dishes, does not give an overweight, as he can eat in daily life, low-calorie fed. And if the food is not permanently changed after a diet with ready meals, it quickly comes to the yo-yo effect.

An advantage of the Nutri100 diet program is: You can test the diet for a week and see for yourself. In addition, the addition of ready-meals with high-quality protein (cottage cheese, yogurt) and fruit is a good thing. The taste buds of our testers have not quite hit these ready meals: better in taste, and with fewer or no additives, cut off the ready diets of Diäko, the Brigitte diet (Frosta) and the Weight Watchers diet.
