In doing so, you work with noises, objects and situations that are similar to the anxiety triggers. But they make sure that your dog associates them with rewards.
For example, if your pet becomes nervous when strangers appear at your home, ask your visitors to treat it with the utmost gentleness and kindness, and greet it with a treat. So your dog may soon be looking forward to visit. If the anxiety disorder refers to driving in the car, you can practice getting in and out without actually starting.
